This is the costume for the character of Constant in ‘The Provoked Wife’, that I am a finalist in the Patterns for Performance competition for.  I used a wide variety of techniques on this costume including hat making, beading, pleating, historical construction and more.  I wanted the focus of this project to be on my period pattern drafting and construction skills, making a coat for the first time.  I also wanted to experiment more with menswear, working through every layer, from breeches and shirt, through to waistcoat and coat.
