Self devised university project, designing the costumes for a film adaptation of the book ‘Inkspell’ by Cornelia Funke.  The book is set in a fantasy world, within a book, that the characters from our world – Meggie and Mo (front two in costume line up) read themselves into.  I loosely based the costume on 1450s German medieval fashion as a starting point for my research.  I designed a variety of different characters, including magical characters such as the Water Nymphs, Moss Women and Night-Mares, and the antagonist Adderhead, as well as several of the Motley Folk.  There are varying degrees of intricacy and breaking down to represent the different characters wealth and position in society.
